  • Safari - 35.07%
  • Edge - 4.39%
  • Samsung Internet - 3.49%
  • Firefox - 3.31%
  • Internet Explorer - 0.76%

It's interesting to see Internet Explorer still hanging in there. New feature development by Microsoft for IE finished up in 2016, with Microsoft Edge becoming the company's focus. However, Internet Explorer will continue to receive security updates until at least 2029.

Google's continued overwhelming dominance has been the subject of some intense scrutiny by Australia regulators in recent times. This led the online goliath to threaten pulling Google Search out of Australia at one point; but it seems that may be avoided.

Note: Yahoo! Search is a rebadged version of the Microsoft Bing search engine - the Bing team was no doubt rubbing its hands together in anticipation of a possible Google Search pull-out.
