Elaine oversees the accounting function of the company, ensuring records are meticulously kept and that all reporting meets relevant accounting standards and legislation.
Elaine has been a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ) since 2006. She kicked off her career working in a number of small public practice firms in Geelong and Melbourne before joining Jeremy (CEO) in his previous venture in the same capacity - and then making the transition to Lightning Broadband in 2016.

WHY DID YOU JOIN LIGHTNING BROADBAND?
Having worked with Jeremy in the previous business, he asked me to join him in a new opportunity, which fit perfectly with my situation at the time. Being familiar with the way Jeremy works made the transition from solar to connectivity – quite different industries - a much simpler one.
WHAT’S THE BEST PART OF WORKING AT LIGHTNING BROADBAND?
It would have to be the friendly and flexible work culture we all enjoy.
WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE IN MELBOURNE?
Southern Cross Station. I grew up in Geelong and taking the train to Southern Cross Station was a major part of my university life. The commute continued for a few more years after graduation until I eventually moved into an apartment - overlooking Southern Cross Station!
