Jeremy is an experienced entrepreneur and CEO with a broad range of skills previously honed in the co-founding, development, 10 years of operation and successful exit of what was one of Australia’s top solar power firms at the time. This role prepared him well for the successful management of people, processes and systems to deliver superior customer experiences in his next major project – Lightning Broadband.

But even before either of these ventures, Jeremy was busy gaining important skills for what came next. For example, he developed strong analytical skills during his time spent as part of NAB’s corporate banking team. Jeremy holds degrees in Commerce (Actuarial Studies) and Information Systems from the University of Melbourne.

“I must say I love watching the sunset from St Kilda beach. It never grows old.”

3 questions with Jeremy

WHY DID YOU START LIGHTNING BROADBAND?

In 2015, connectivity was in a pretty poor shape in Australia and we decided to take matters into own hands; seeing an opportunity to deliver truly superfast and reliable broadband backed by the very best customer care.

We were granted a Telecommunications Carriers Licence by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) in 2015, and then commenced our rollout of fibre and high speed fixed wireless solutions – and the rest is history.

WHAT’S THE BEST PART OF WORKING AT LIGHTNING BROADBAND?

People, people and people. I just love coming to work and feel grateful every day to be able to work alongside such an amazing set of like-minded people with exceptional values, fully dedicated to delivering superior customer experiences day in, day out.

WHERE’S YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE IN MELBOURNE?

St Kilda Beach, as it’s near where I live and go to play with my family and children (swimming, bike riding, etc.). It’s a great place to dine and celebrate special occasions, or simply watch the sunset – something I never tire of!
